Every single day cold, hard cash is *trying* to hunt you
down.Try as you might you can’t escape it. It’s everywhere. In
the library, at the grocer…even while you sleep!
Strange then how so many people spend a lifetime without
two dimes to rub together. No this isn’t a fallacy and it’s
not just another empty promise. Stay with me and I’ll prove
it to you.
Here a re a few examples: A true story is often told about
a homeless man that ducked into a library whenever it
rained to escape the downpour. This same man went on to
become a wealthy businessman because of the knowledge
gained during those rainy afternoons.
About a month ago, a children’s doll was sold on eBay for
$487 by someone that had taken the ordinary doll and worked
it into a likeness of one Angelina Jolie.
A teenage girl, tired of the cold seeping into the gap
between her gloves and her sleeves takes a sock…cuts off
the toe-piece for her fingers and makes a hole for her
thumb to stick through. Six months later she has started
production and a million dollar company selling
“wrist-warmers” to the masses.
The universe was created to be friendly to our purposes.
It’s designed to give us everything we need at any given
moment and yet we still see the bills piling up. I’m not
into metaphysics or eeky-weeky stuff, but hard work and
bright ideas don’t always equal money or success.
Instead, most often, those among us in society that work
the hardest live on the least of incomes and those of great
education have to be content with meager governed incomes.
Fighting for every penny is a sure path to lack.
By the same token, gratitude and faith have *never* ceased
to provide every comfort to the man or woman that enters
into such rest.
I am convinced beyond any and *all* dissuasion that in our
attempts to horde, grasp and fight for what we want we have
been putting a stranglehold on God’s provision that
attempts to bless us at every turn.
If you keep your nose to the grindstone, all you’ll have is
a flat face.
Stop. Smile. Take a walk. Kiss your husband or your wife.
It’s only at these times that you slow down that your
opportunities and fortune will expose themselves plainly…
You ARE being hunted by money. Take a little time out of
your ‘box’ so that it can pounce on you! :-)
